1.         Form I-20 from the school to be attended

2.         Form I-94, as well as the Form I-94 of each person included in the application

3.         Some support for the reasons that he or she did not seek a student visa at a U.S. consulate prior to entering the U.S. (This need is particularly strong when the prospective student is currently in B-1 or B-2 status.)

1)         An affidavit giving the details surrounding his or her decision to undertake studies after entering the U.S.

4.         Evidence that the applicant will not resort to employment in order to finance his or her education in the U.S. or cover other living expenses, for example,

1)    Personal funds of the applicant;

   Evidence of bank deposits;

   (Can readily be converted into cash) securities, real or personal property;

2)    Evidence of financial aid given or disbursed by the applicant's home government, for example, formal notification of the payment of expenses by the government

3)    Evidence of parents' financial aid and their income;

   Salary

   Income tax return

   A statement from his or her employer

Relatives or friends in the United States will assure the applicant's support, working certificate

   Affidavit of support (Form I-134)

4)   The school's financial aid resources, such as fellowships, scholarships, or assistantships.

5)    Financial aid from family business

   Company introduction

   Business license

   Annual income statement

5.         Evidence of the applicant's nonimmigrant intent:

1)    Family relationships, for example,

a.      ID card of the applicant and his parents

b.      Household registration the applicant and his parents

c.      Work certificate

d.      Affidavit I-134

e.      Family photos

2)  Evidence of Finances

a.      Real estate ownership

b.      Bank deposit

c.      Family business certificate

d.      Stock

e.      Parents' income statement

3)    Career potential

Better career opportunity for the applicant in his or her home country, letters from employers or labor market experts

a.      Applicant's affidavit

b.      Letter from the employer

c.      Letter from the prospective employer

4)  Community ties, such as any organization he or she belongs to, including religious organizations or social groups.

5)    Other evidence of nonimmigrant intent
